You will have to maintain your frameless glass shower to keep it looking as great as it did after installation. We give routine cleaning information to our customers after we have installed their new frameless glass showers. Now we want to share the information with you.

Hard water and soapy buildup allowed to accumulate on glass shower surfaces can cause etching and permanently damage the glass of your frameless glass shower. If glass shower doors have a cloudy look, this may be the culprit.

Cleaning will eliminate buildup, but it will not reverse etching.  The first and best defense to prevent etching is to wipe the shower after each use with a squeegee or a microfiber cloth.

A squeegee is a windshield-wiper-like tool with a handle and a long, flat rubber blade used to clean or remove something (in this case water) from a surface.

Once the shower has been squeegeed, finish the job with a quick misting of daily cleaner.  Method Daily, Tilex Daily Shower Cleaner, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Tub are good options! The great part about doing a small clean everyday, is that you will not have to deep clean as often!
