St. Louis Commercial Windows: If you’re in the process of working on a restaurant location, one of the first things you want to do is think about curb appeal. Yes, we all have those hole-in-the-wall restaurants that look iffy on the outside while delivering one of the best meals, but do you really want your biggest fans to start out describing your restaurant as, “yeah, I know, but you’ve got to trust me”? This is why one of the best things you can do for your location is pick out the right windows. Not only will they let in plenty of light for your diners, but they’ll also set the mood for your menu.

Here are a few styles to consider when building your restaurant.

Casement Windows

Casement windows open and close on a hinge and are operated by either a crank or a handle. They look gorgeous, and you can find the perfect framing as an accent. The only issue is that they need plenty of space since the windows will open and close on a swing. Plus, casement windows tend to be best for spaces that are temperate year-round, and sadly, St. Louis’s weather is far too indecisive to constantly be battling hinged windows.

Awning Windows

Awning windows work similarly to casement windows but are smaller. You can choose to have them swing open from either the top or the bottom. They take up way less space than casement windows, and it’s less work to open and close them, making them a great option for those sunny May days before we hit the summer highs. Plus, awning windows do a great job keeping out the elements from spring storms.

Picture Windows

Picture windows tend to be a classic that a lot of designers will gravitate to while creating a space. Picture windows are fixed, meaning you can’t open them to let in fresh air. At the same time, they give your diners a great view of the outside and allow passersby to look in and see the amazing entrees you’re currently dishing out. Plus, they have a clean, modern look.

If you’re in the process of designing your restaurant space, don’t neglect the windows! With these three options, you’ll be able to find the right style for your restaurant.
